Looking up at the fire tower on Buck Mountain you can see that the whole mountain has been burned. The Beaver Creek fire came through in 2015 leaving this ghost forest. This was the tower I manned as a lookout for the Department of Natural Resources way back in the day. It makes me sad to see it this way, but at the same time there is a touch of beauty in the scene.
