Swan Song

Cerulean blue sky reflected in the water on this Christmas morning. The trees standing watch, looked down at their reflections. I was struck by the contrast of the dark trees, silhouetted in the morning light, against that robin’s egg blue. Hundreds of swans were gathered a bit further up the road, their songs filling the morning air, creating a special memory of the wildlife refuge.
